Bradshaw attorney Jeffrey D. Goetz provided the Debtor’s perspective on a panel of experts in a discussion entitled It’s Not Your Father’s Chapter 11 Process Anymore on Tuesday, April 30th, at the Turnaround Management Association (TMA) meeting in Minneapolis. More than 200 bankruptcy, turnaround, banker and financial advisory professionals from the Minnesota, Chicago-Midwest and Detroit chapters, attended the 2-day TMA Mid-America Regional Conference.

During the panel discussion on Chapter 11, attention turned to Chapter 12 bankruptcy—which provides reorganization options specifically for family farmers and fishermen, to restructure their finances and avoid liquidation or foreclosure. Jeffrey Goetz provided his insight on the pressures facing family farmers in the current market environment and congressional legislation recently introduced to address some of the concerns facing family farmers and small to medium business enterprises.

Jeffrey Goetz is board-certified in both Business and Consumer Bankruptcy Law by the American Board of Certification, with practice devoted primarily to the representation of debtors, creditors, committees and trustees in bankruptcy and reorganization cases. Jeffrey leads the Bradshaw Law Firm’s Bankruptcy Law practice area.
