Bradshaw attorneys Janice M. Thomas and Nicci M. Ledbetter successfully obtained a summary judgment ruling dismissing a lawsuit against a principal and a school district. The plaintiffs alleged negligence, negligent supervision, and respondent superior based on an out of school relationship between a former teacher and a student. The court ruled the record contained insufficient evidence to generate a jury question that the school district and the principal breached a duty to the student, without knowledge or evidence for the ability to detect a non-school related relationship.
