Two of Iowa’s oldest law firms are combining talent.  On September 3, 2019, Bradshaw, Fowler, Proctor & Fairgrave, P.C. will join forces with the attorneys and staff from the Cartwright, Druker & Ryden Law Firm in Marshalltown. The Cartwright, Druker & Ryden law offices, located at 112 West Church Street, will become the Marshalltown office of the Bradshaw Law Firm.

Located in downtown Des Moines, the 46 attorneys at Bradshaw, Fowler, Proctor & Fairgrave, P.C. offer clients comprehensive, strategic legal representation in a broad range of practice areas. The Cartwright, Druker & Ryden Law Firm is 160 years old.  Bradshaw Law Firm recently commemorated its 100th anniversary.

“The two firms’ leaders have known and respected each other for some time,” said Bradshaw Law Firm president Greg Kenyon. “We have many commonalities, including insurance defense, litigation, and probate law. This is an opportunity for the Bradshaw Law Firm to expand its market to serve the people and businesses of the Marshalltown area,” added Kenyon.

“When Governor Reynolds appointed our partner Sharon Soorholtz Greer to the Iowa Court of Appeals in June, the remaining partners looked at how we move forward and continue to best serve our clients,” said Cartwright, Druker & Ryden partner Joel T. S. Greer. “We are excited to work with respected attorneys from the larger Bradshaw Law Firm in Des Moines. Our clients will greatly benefit from their expertise in a broad set of practice areas,” said Greer.

Judge Soorholtz Greer serves with former Bradshaw Law Firm attorney David N. May on the Iowa Court of Appeals. Judge May left the Bradshaw Law Firm in February 2016 when he was appointed as a district judge in Judicial Election District 5C. In June, Governor Kim Reynolds administered the oath of office to Iowa Court of Appeals Judges David N. May and Sharon Soorholtz Greer at the Iowa State Capitol. Multiple attorneys from the Bradshaw Law Firm and from the Cartwright, Druker & Ryden Law Firm have been appointed to judgeships, named to high ranking positions in government, and recognized by legal peers as outstanding in their field(s).

Bradshaw Law Firm provides clients with the highest quality of legal representation in a broad range of practice areas including, but not limited to, business and corporate law, estate planning and probate law, insurance law, litigation, employment law, real estate law, municipal law, appellate law, and alternative dispute resolution.
