Patrick has been a shareholder in the Bradshaw Law Firm's litigation division since 2002.  Prior to joining Bradshaw, Patrick was a partner in another Des Moines litigation firm.  Patrick practices primarily in employment law, but is also experienced in handling complex civil rights, commercial, and insurance litigation.  He has handled cases in every Iowa judicial district, the United States District Courts for the Northern and Southern Districts of Iowa, the United States Court of Appeal for the Eighth Circuit, the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC), National Labor Relations Board (NLRB), Iowa Civil Rights Commission, local human rights commissions, the Iowa Workers' Compensation Commissioner, and U.S. Bankruptcy Courts.

In addition to litigation, Patrick's practice includes consulting with employers on legal compliance, drafting employment policies and handbooks, management training, internal investigations, litigation avoidance, labor relations, and risk management.  He lectures on various employment law topics to human resource professionals and attorneys, and publishes the Iowa Employment Law Blog.  Patrick is a Charter Fellow of the Litigation Counsel of America, a trial lawyer honorary society.  Patrick and his wife Sue have six children.
